After a long and hard campaign, a tough fought election, Gautam Lala won, finishing 3rd with 370 votes. This being his first election. He was "Steward of the Meeting" that year. In 2003, he was elected again to the Committee without an election. In 2003, he was elected as a "Steward of the Club". In 2004, Gautam Lala decided to give it a break and withdrew from the elections, an in doing so, gave a walkover to the others as there were no elections. However, he was co-opted as "Steward of the Club" that year too.
